No-Knead Bread, and where to source it

No-Knead Bread — 5best2buy.com 5BEST2BUY.COM No-Knead Bread American 5best2buy.com

The whole method is time doing the kneading for you: an 18-hour rise develops the gluten while you sleep. Bake it in a screaming-hot covered dutch oven so the trapped steam sets a blistered, crackly crust before the pot comes off.

The Ingredients — and where to get them
Cook for 1 loaf

A scant quarter teaspoon; the marathon rise means you barely need any.
1/4 tsp
Rye flour
A handful swapped into the mix for a deeper, tangier flavor.
1/2 cup
Cornmeal
A dusting under the loaf so it does not weld to the hot pot.
2 tbsp
Bread flour
High-protein flour for the structure that carries a long, wet ferment.
3 cups
Fine sea salt
Whisked into the flour so it seasons the whole loaf evenly.
